This morning at church, the message was simple, yet deeply profound: “You are loved. Go with God.”
Those words sat with me. Stirred something in me.
Our pastor challenged us with this question: Who do you live your life for? Is it just for you… or is it for God?
As business owners, entrepreneurs, visionaries—we often get caught up in the hustle, the to-do lists, the money moves. But this morning was a powerful reminder that everything we have—our businesses, our ideas, our platforms, our income—isn't ours. It’s been entrusted to us.
We are called to be stewards. And good ones at that.
There were three major takeaways that I couldn’t wait to share with this community:
Nothing in our life belongs to us—not even our talents. We didn’t give ourselves the gifts we operate in; those are divine deposits. So it’s our duty to make things better, to manage resources well, and most importantly, to glorify God in all we do.
That includes our finances. Our time. Our platforms. Our creativity.
We don’t give what's leftover. We give God what is right—first and foremost. Whether that’s with our energy, money, or attention.
Love should be the motivation behind how we run our businesses, serve our communities, and even how we spend. Not ego. Not fear. Not scarcity. Love.
So yes—this platform, The Mindful Biz Owner, is and always will be a space of generosity. Of encouragement. Of giving—knowledge, perspective, peace, and grace. Because love leads here.
This isn't just a church phrase—it’s an everyday reminder that you don’t walk this journey alone. Especially on the hard days. Especially when the numbers don’t add up or the vision feels too big for your current reality.
Personally, I’ve been on a journey of tithing—of giving 10% of my income to God before anything else. It hasn’t always been easy, especially while carrying more debt than I’ve ever had. But here's what I can say:
I haven’t gone without. Not once.
The math might not make sense on paper, but grace shows up in ways you don’t expect.
I’ve also reached my savings goal. And now? The rest is going toward my debt. Because being a mindful business owner also means being a mature one—making sacrifices, budgeting with intention, and giving out of what we have, not what we hope for.
Scripture teaches us there are three types of giving:
Tithes (10%) – Given to the church, first.
Offerings – Given to support missionaries, charities, etc.
Alms – Given to help the poor (not the same as the others).
All three matter. And they should be given in that order. The church, and we as believers, are called to support all of them.
So as you build your brand, chase your goals, and create impact—remember:
Stewardship is worship.
Sacrifice is discipline.
Surrender is strength.
Don’t give God your leftovers—not in time, talent, or treasure. Let The Mindful Biz Owner be a reflection of how we love, how we give, and how we live out our purpose with intentionality and grace.
You are loved.
Go with God.
