Trusting God When Nothing Makes Sense

This morning's devotional hit differently. I strive to begin my days with God—reading scripture, praying, and embracing stillness. Not every day, but I give it my best. Today? It was profound. It reminded me that sometimes nothing makes sense…and that’s precisely when God is at work.

Reflecting on Job's journey, I'm reminded that faith isn't just about praising God when all is well—it’s about trusting Him when everything seems chaotic. When doors close. When opportunities vanish. When your efforts aren't reflected in your bank account. When the vision is clear, but the path is turbulent.

As an entrepreneur and a mindful businesswoman, I'm learning not to rely solely on my understanding. Instead, I sit with God in the silence, the waiting, the stretching. I remind myself that, like Job, my faith is being refined—not destroyed.

Job 23:10 resonates deeply: "But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold." This verse illustrates that our trials are not in vain; they are refining us, purifying our faith, and transforming our character.

So, if you're in that "if it's not one thing, it's another" season—hold on. Trust deeper. Breathe slower. God remains sovereign and active.
